Fort Greene
This neighborhood is part of the Brooklyn borough. Named after the fort, which was in turn named after General Nathanael Greene who helped George Washington in the Battle of Long Island. It’s known as the Historic District of New York. The neighborhood is popular for its low-rise housing and streets lined by trees. There are also well-preserved architectures that date back to the 19th century. The crime rate around the area has decreased throughout the years, but it remains high compared to other NYC neighborhoods.
