All explosions of Ulawun came from its main crater. Since the 18th century, Ulawun has had 22 major eruptions. Growing danger and concern seems to be creeping in to residents within its surroundings since volcanic and seismic activity has been recorded regularly in the past decade. Minor eruptions with small volumes of lava and ash have been happening and are scaring people. With its height, powerful eruptions can instigate major landslides that elevate danger levels.
