Sand Tiger Shark
The Sand Tiger shark (Carcharias taurus) is also known as the gray nurse shark, the sand tiger, and the ragged tooth shark. They are common sharks found in warm waters of the world. They can reach lengths of 11 feet and weigh about up to 350 lbs. They have ferocious-looking teeth found in three rows that protrude out the mouth. Relatively speaking they are docile creatures that mind their own business. There have been 64 reported attacks and 2 deaths attributed to Sand Tiger sharks.
