Distrito Central, Honduras
Distrito Central is a municipality in the Francisco Morazan department of Honduras. It contains the Honduran capital of Tegucigalpa, as well as the city of Comayaguela. Since the country became a transit point for drugs, the crime rate has also increased. It has 77.65 homicides per 100,000 residents, which is down from 100 homicides per 100,000 in 2012.
