Rikers Island Prison
There was a time when this prison witnessed 1,000 stabbings in one year. It is located in New York and it is notorious for being a place where riots take place almost all the time. There was even a prison guard interview in 1991 where he confessed that working there was a struggle. He has witnessed a lot of beatings and murders. There were reforms in place though and it reduced the overall number of stabbings to an average of 70 per year.
