Oceanic Whitetip
The Oceanic Whitetip shark (Carcharhinus longimanus) is a denizen of the open ocean. It is known to be an aggressive predator and this is why it’s one of the most dangerous sharks. They can be involved in feeding frenzy when the opportunity presents itself. The famous oceanographer Jacques Cousteau called them “the most dangerous of all sharks.” This species reaches lengths of 13 feet. It is unknown how many Oceanic Whitetip attacks have occurred, but they are believed to be behind shark attacks following air and sea disasters.
