Lansing, Michigan
Though the situation in Lansing is not as bad as Detroit, it is still at risk of being the next Detroit. Considering its poor economy and poverty rate of almost 30%, it could easily follow the footsteps of Detroit. On the plus side, it has only recorded around 9 murders in 2015. Though it is still a bad figure, it is at least several times lower than all other cities on the list. Lansing can still be salvaged if the local government does something to avert the crisis now. Perhaps, starting with the economic situation is a good move.
