Freddie Gray’s death made Baltimore look like hell in 2015. There was fire all over the street. Stores were looted. Civilians started fighting with the police. Gray’s death triggered these problems, but they were nothing out of the ordinary. In fact, violent crimes happen in Baltimore, especially in this neighborhood all the time. In just one month in 2015, the city has recorded 43 homicides, in what was seen as the most violent month in 40 years.
