Mt. Merapi, Indonesia
The English translation of its name is ‘Mountain of Fire’. It is probably the best description to give it because it holds the highest volume of lava ever to come out of a volcano. It has been spewing fire for an estimated 10,000 years. Since 1548, it has been on a habitual eruption. Some scientists believe that a powerful eruption gave an end to the Mataram Kingdom of the Hindus. It can fire off lava 3 to 4 miles away.
