Tiger Shark
The tiger shark (Galeocerdo cuvier) can be found in tropical and sub-tropical waters. Although they can be found swimming in shallow water, they tend to stay in waters 20 feet deep or more. These bruisers can reach lengths of 16 feet and weigh more than 2,000 lbs. The tiger shark has distinctive stripes along the side, and the temperament to match. There have been more than 155 known attacks, resulting in 29 deaths.
